Now let’s look at how to convert a measurement that contains both, feet and inches, to a decimal feet dimension. From the table below, we can see that all we have to do, is take the inches dimension from the measurement ,write them as a fraction of a foot, perform the division like we did on the previous lesson, and add that decimal value to the feet value. We can also observe that the decimal number is rounded to the closest one hundredth. The rounding of decimals will be covered on our Rounding decimals lesson.
